Childcare Vision

In Manitoba, 76% of young children live in childcare deserts. Access to childcare enables parents to participate fully in their communities and provides safe and stimulating environments for children. High quality, affordable child care is especially important for facilitating women’s participation in the economy and civil society.

  • Increase the number of quality public child care facilities, creating 23,000 new spots by 2025-2026
  • Invest in child care staff training, wages and retention.
